Taylor Swift's earns $57million on 2012 makes her the third highest-paid woman in entertainment, behind only Oprah Winfrey and Britney Spears. Hathaway, by comparison -- who starred in two of the biggest films of the year, The Dark Knight Rises and Les Miserables, for which she won an Oscar -- earned $10 million in 2012.
You can continue to mock Taylor Swift for her infamous songwriting method and diss her crazy love life all you want… she still earned a whopping $57 million in 2012 alone (pun unintended) from her hit breakup songs, which makes her the 3rd highest-paid female celebrity according to Parade‘s “What People Earn” issue.
In fact, add up Academy Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway’s $10 million and Brad Pitt‘s $35.5 million—already including his $7 million from his bizarre Chanel no.5 commercial—and she still comes off the winner. Another high-earning celeb on Parade's list is pop superstar Justin Bieber, who earned $55 million last year, thanks to touring, investments in tech startups, and his women's fragrance line. According to the magazine, the 19-year-old "Boyfriend" singer made an estimated $6,261 per hour.
To those people who say "Taylor Swift should write a song called 'Maybe I'm The Problem.":
She knows she makes mistakes too so how about you haters go get a life okay bye.
