Nicknamed "Rainbow" due to each girls' different charms. In February 5,
it was confirmed that the group will release its first studio album
Rainbow Syndrome on February 13. The group will also make a special
showcase for the album on the same day.
About The Members:
Go Woori is a vocalist, lead dancer, and the main rapper of the group.
She is the eldest in Rainbow, Her color in Rainbow is orange. Rainbow’s
Go Woori confessed the hardships she went through in the jungle with
teary eyes. Woori appeared and revealed, “I am really afraid of insects.
But I thought that there might be others who are scared of insects as
well, and there Go Eun was. I didn’t want to others to be overlapped
with my character, so I toughened up.”
Seungah is a lead vocalist of the group. She made her audition at DSP
Media on the same day as Kara's Goo Hara and Kang Jiyoung. Seungah is
studying at Sangmyung University, but is currently on a leave of absence
because of the group's activities. She appeared in SS501's music video
for "A Song Calling For You". In 2012, she was part of the season 1 of
tvN's show The Romantic and Idol, pairing with JJ Project's member JB.
She is also a member of the group's sub-unit Rainbow Pixie. Her color in
Rainbow is indigo.
Jaekyung is the leader, a lead vocalist, visual and the main dancer of
the group. She was originally a JYP Entertainment trainee, but was
switched to DSP Media. She studied at Dongduk Women's University, where
she majored in Fashion Design. She has appeared in two music videos by
SS501: "Love Like This" and "A Song Calling For You", and in A'ST1's
"Dynamite". She made her acting debut on jTBC's drama Monster. Her color
in Rainbow is red.
No Eul is a rapper and vocalist of the group. No Eul studied at Sungdong
Women's Business High School. Alongside Seungah, No Eul appeared in
SS501's music video for "A Song Calling For You". She is a childhood
friend of Girls' Generation's Kim Tae-yeon, and she was part of the
recurring cameo cast of MBC's TV drama Time Slip Dr. Jin. Her color in
Rainbow is blue.
Yoonhye is the lead rapper and a vocalist of the group.She is currently
studying at Dongduk Women's University, majoring in broadcast
entertainment. Both of her parents are classical musicians. Her cousin
Roy Kim, is the winner of Mnet's music contest Superstar K4. Her color
in Rainbow is violet.
Jisook is a main vocalist of the group. She studied at Hanyang Women's
University, majoring in music. She is known for resembling Girls'
Generation's Kim Tae-yeon. Before Rainbow, Jisook was in a pre-debut
rock band. Her mother died of chronic disease on July 4, 2011, during
promotions for "Sweet Dream". Jisook is also a member of the group's
sub-unit Rainbow Pixie. Her color in Rainbow is green.
Hyun Young is a main vocalist and the maknae of the group. She is the
youngest member of the group (also known as the "maknae"). She studied
at Shingwang Female High School. Along with Woori, she was previously a
S.M. Entertainment trainee. In 2012, she was diagnosed with a vocal cord
polyp and underwent surgery for its removal. She is also a member of
the group's sub-unit Rainbow Pixie. Her color in Rainbow is yellow
